Fort Worth Reads and Rights Program seeks to increase literacy rates and decrease violence, crime, and its physical and emotional effects on children and adolescents by cultivating a love for reading and a climate for cooperative citizenship that empowers and emboldens students through interactive reading experiences and engaging activities that foster dignity, self-worth, and tolerance within a safe, non- judgmental atmosphere irrespective to race, economic status, or capabilities.
With this purpose in heart and mind, the program seeks to enroll 40-50 students between Third and Eighth grade and service students attending Fort Worth Independent School District Elementary Schools.
